13 Doors
Thirteen artist-created works—
spanning visual art, sound, movement, text, and performance—will interpret
the door as passage: into belonging, possibility, memory, change, and community.

For one extraordinary year, every corner of the MMJCCM will come alive in new ways — becoming part of the same larger story. Art,
movement, holidays, learning, conversation, friendship and signature celebrations will offer new experiences, unexpected ideas, and fresh ways to encounter the people, traditions, and possibilities that shape
our community.
Twenty-five years ago, Jewish life was changing. People were seeking new ways to find meaning, belonging,
and community.
The response was not a single program. It was the creation of a place. The MMJCCM was built to meet that moment—and designed to evolve with its community. Again and again, it has opened new pathways into Jewish life, creating not only experiences and connections, but relationships that deepen over time and often become far more than what first brought people through its doors.
Each season opens another doorway—inviting the entire community into a different idea, feeling, and way of
being together.
Not a new collection of programs. A year unfolding through four distinct chapters, woven into the everyday
life of the MMJCCM and appearing in places, moments, and forms you might not expect—adding new layers
of connection, discovery, and friendship to the life already unfolding here.

THRESHOLDS | סיפים
January–March
The moments when we step into something new—personally and as a community.

BECOMING | התהוות
April–June
The belief that neither people nor institutions are ever finished; growth is a lifelong practice.

RENEWAL | התחדשות
July–September
The ways we reimagine and begin again, drawing on traditions that have sustained Jewish life for generations.

GRATITUDE | הכרת הטוב
October–December
Recognizing what we have received, celebrating those who made it possible, and considering what we will leave for those who follow.
Each generation inherits the vision, wisdom, generosity, and innovation of those who came before—and
adds something of its own. Our 25th Anniversary Leadership brings together founders, longtime leaders,
and those helping build the MMJCCM’s next chapter.
Thirteen artist-created works—
spanning visual art, sound, movement, text, and performance—will interpret
the door as passage: into belonging, possibility, memory, change, and community.
Hundreds of community-made
handles will become one monumental artwork—each beginning with the
simple gesture of reaching forward, taking hold, and opening a new possibility.
Artist-designed mezuzot will
transform doorways throughout the building into markers of identity, memory, and belonging—reminding us that every threshold carries meaning.

Twenty-five years ago, visionary leaders invested in an institution designed to evolve with its community. From the beginning, the MMJCCM has been built through the generosity of many—each giving in their own way, each helping create something larger than
themselves.
Today, we have the opportunity to do the same for the next generation.
Through these doors, the next twenty-five years begin.
